Google Slides cannot import a PDF; to show one there you would first have to save each page as an image, and images cannot be edited. Upload your PDF here instead: Tosea rebuilds every page as an editable PowerPoint slide, and Google Slides opens that file with the text in real text boxes. Download the PPTX, upload it to Google Drive, and open it with Google Slides.
Upload a PDF up to 30 MB; each page becomes one slide. Works with PDFs exported from PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva, NotebookLM, and other slide tools.
Upload a PDF and download it back as a fully editable .pptx — text, shapes, and tables stay editable, not flattened into images.
This tool shares one monthly allowance with our image-to-editable-PPT tools (5 pages on the free plan); PDF conversions are counted by page. If a PDF exceeds your remaining pages, the first pages within your allowance are converted.
Yes, in two steps. Google Slides has no PDF import, so first convert the PDF into an editable PPTX, then open that file with Google Slides. Tosea does the first step: each PDF page is rebuilt with editable text boxes and separate visual elements, so the deck you open in Google Slides can be edited like any other presentation.
Sign in and drop the PDF into the converter at the top of this page. Each page becomes one slide.
The file downloads in your browser and is also saved to your exports.
Drag the file into Google Drive, or use New and then File upload.
Right-click the file and choose Open with, then Google Slides. To add the slides to an existing deck, use File and then Import slides in Google Slides instead.
Google Slides replaces fonts it does not have with similar ones, so review headings and dense slides before sharing.
| PDF element | In Google Slides | Worth checking |
|---|---|---|
| Titles and body text | Editable text boxes in the original positions | Font substitutions and line breaks |
| Charts, icons, and images | Separate pictures and shapes you can move or delete | Small labels inside charts may remain part of the picture |
| Backgrounds and colors | A rebuilt background that keeps the original look | Gradients can look slightly different |
| Slide order | One slide per PDF page, in the same order | Pages beyond your remaining monthly allowance are not converted |
Not as editable slides. Google Slides imports PowerPoint files but not PDFs; to use a PDF there, you would first have to save each page as an image, which cannot be edited. Convert the PDF to an editable PPTX first, then open the PPTX with Google Slides.
Upload the PDF to the converter on this page and download the editable PPTX. Then upload the PPTX to Google Drive and choose Open with Google Slides. The text stays in text boxes and visual elements stay separate, so you can edit the deck in Google Slides.
Yes. Download the NotebookLM slide deck as a PDF, convert it here into an editable PPTX, and open that file with Google Slides. The slides become editable instead of staying as pictures.
Yes, with sign-in. The free plan includes 5 pages per month, counted by PDF page; Pro and Max include more. If a PDF has more pages than you have left, the first pages within your allowance are still converted.
Google Slides only renders fonts it has. When a slide uses a font that Google Slides lacks, it shows a similar font instead, which can change line breaks. Pick a Google font for headings if the exact look matters.
Convert the PDF once, open the PPTX with Google Slides, and keep working with your team in Google Drive.
Free with sign-in: 5 pages a month. Google Slides may substitute fonts it does not have.
