Convert NotebookLM Slides into an Editable PowerPoint

NotebookLM (now Gemini Notebook) draws each slide as a picture, so you cannot retype a title or move a chart. Download the deck as a PDF and upload it here: Tosea rebuilds every page as a native PowerPoint slide, with text in editable text boxes and visual elements as separate objects you can move, resize, or delete.

Upload the PDF you downloaded from NotebookLM (up to 30 MB, one slide per page). Only have a PPTX? Open it in PowerPoint or Google Slides and save it as a PDF first.

PDF files up to 30 MB

Upload a PDF and download it back as a fully editable .pptx — text, shapes, and tables stay editable, not flattened into images.

This tool shares one monthly allowance with our image-to-editable-PPT tools (5 pages on the free plan); PDF conversions are counted by page. If a PDF exceeds your remaining pages, the first pages within your allowance are converted.

Short answer

Can You Edit NotebookLM Slides in PowerPoint?

Not directly. NotebookLM renders every slide as an image, so PowerPoint and Google Slides treat each page as one picture. To change the wording, fix a number, or restyle a slide, the page has to be rebuilt as real PowerPoint objects. Tosea does that rebuild from the PDF export and keeps the original layout and colors.

  • Export the slide deck from NotebookLM as a PDF.
  • Upload the PDF; each page becomes one editable slide.
  • Retype text, move charts and icons, and change colors in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote.
  • Free plan: 5 pages a month after sign-in. Pro and Max convert more pages.

Process

How to Make NotebookLM Slides Editable

  1. Create the slide deck in NotebookLM.

Generate a slide deck from your sources in NotebookLM or Gemini Notebook and wait until it finishes.

  2. Download it as a PDF.

Open the deck and use the download option to save a PDF. If you only have a PPTX, save it as a PDF from PowerPoint or Google Slides.

  3. Upload the PDF to Tosea.

Sign in, drop the PDF into the converter at the top of this page, and start the conversion. Each PDF page maps to one slide.

  4. Download the editable PPTX.

The file downloads in your browser and is also saved to your exports, so you can download it again later.

  5. Edit and check.

Open the deck in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote. Compare small text, numbers, and special characters with the original before presenting.

After converting

What You Can Change Once the Slides Are Editable

  • Retype any heading or bullet directly in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote.
  • Move, resize, or delete icons, pictures, and blocks one by one instead of cropping a screenshot.
  • Restyle the text with your own fonts, sizes, and colors. It is real text, so spell check and find-and-replace work.
  • Reuse slides by copying them into another deck or applying your company template.
  • Convert more pages on Pro and Max when 5 pages a month is not enough.
Questions

NotebookLM Slides to PowerPoint FAQ

Can NotebookLM export slides to PowerPoint?

NotebookLM lets you download a generated slide deck, but the slides are rendered as images, so the file contains no editable text. If your account offers a PPTX download, its slides are typically images as well. To edit the content, convert the PDF with a tool that rebuilds each page as native PowerPoint elements, such as the converter on this page.

How do I make NotebookLM slides editable?

Download the slide deck from NotebookLM as a PDF, sign in to Tosea, and upload the PDF to the converter on this page. Each page is rebuilt as an editable PowerPoint slide with text boxes and separate visual elements. Download the PPTX and open it in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote.

Does this work with Gemini Notebook?

Yes. Gemini Notebook is the newer name for NotebookLM, and its slide decks download the same way. Save the deck as a PDF and upload it here.

Will the converted slides look the same as in NotebookLM?

Layout, colors, and the position of each element stay close to the original. Text is placed in editable boxes using the closest available font, so decorative lettering can look slightly different. AI-drawn illustrations remain pictures rather than editable vector art.

Why can’t Google Slides or Canva edit my NotebookLM PDF?

Importing a PDF only makes text editable when the PDF contains real text. NotebookLM slides are images, so an import brings each page in as one picture. The text first has to be recognized and rebuilt as text boxes, which is what this converter does.

Is the NotebookLM to PowerPoint converter free?

Yes, with sign-in. The free plan includes 5 pages per month, counted by PDF page; Pro and Max include more. If a PDF has more pages than you have left, the first pages within your allowance are still converted.

Files and Limits FAQ

What file should I upload?

Upload the PDF you downloaded from NotebookLM, up to 30 MB. Each PDF page becomes one slide. If you have a PPTX instead, save it as a PDF from PowerPoint or Google Slides first. If you saved individual slides as images, use the image converter for PNG, JPG, or WebP files.

Where does my file go?

The PDF is uploaded to your private storage for the conversion. The finished PPTX is saved to your exports so you can download it again later.

Can I convert slides from other AI presentation tools?

Yes. The same converter works for PDF exports from other AI slide generators and for any flattened PDF of a slide deck. For slide images made with Nano Banana, Gemini, or ChatGPT, use the AI slide image converter, which accepts PNG, JPG, and WebP.
