An AI slide transition is a short video whose first frame is one slide and whose last frame is the next. In Tosea, open the Transition panel, switch to the AI tab and click Generate: AI reads both slides and animates what they share, such as a character, a product or a table row. It plays in the slideshow and exports to PPTX as a video slide.
AI transitions are available on Pro and above and cost credits per clip; the price for the model and length you choose is shown before you generate. The 15 built-in transitions are free on every plan.
The character moves to a new scene
Slide 4 → Slide 5 of a reading lesson. The layout stays in place while Alice falls down the rabbit hole and the text changes to the next passage.
A table row becomes the next slide
Slide 4 → Slide 5 of a quarterly review. The highlighted Data Cloud row lifts out of the table and becomes the title bar of its detail slide.
Both examples were generated in Smart mode and rendered with Seedance 2.0. The slides are fictional sample content.
They are transitions designed for one specific pair of slides instead of picked from a fixed list. A built-in effect such as Fade or Push moves the whole slide the same way every time. An AI transition looks at what is on both slides and generates a video that connects them, so a character can walk into the next scene or one row of a table can grow into the next slide.
Generate one from a document or a prompt, or open a deck you already made.
Select a slide and click Transition in the toolbar. The panel shows which pair it connects, for example Slide 3 → Slide 4.
Smart reads both slides and finds what they share. Custom lets you describe the motion in one sentence.
The credit cost is shown next to the button. When the clip is ready, it is applied to that pair right away.
Play it in the panel or in the slideshow. In a PPTX export it becomes a video slide between the two slides.
Morph and built-in effects animate what is already on your slides. An AI transition generates new frames, which is what lets it change a scene, and also why it costs credits and cannot be edited afterwards.
| Question | AI transition (Tosea) | Morph and built-in transitions |
|---|---|---|
| What can move | Anything: a character can change scenes, a table row can become a title bar | Morph moves, resizes and recolors objects found on both slides; built-in effects move the whole slide |
| What you prepare | Nothing; AI reads the two slides | Morph needs matching objects on both slides |
| Cost and wait | Credits per clip, usually a few minutes | Free and instant |
| After you edit a slide | The video no longer matches; Tosea flags it and you can regenerate | Keeps working |
| In an exported PPTX | A video slide that plays and advances on its own | A native PowerPoint transition on the slide |
PowerPoint's own transitions, including Morph, animate what is already on your slides. An AI transition is different: a video model generates a clip that starts on one slide and ends on the next. Tosea creates the clip and inserts it into the exported PPTX as a video slide, so it plays in PowerPoint like any other slide.
Yes. In Smart mode, AI reads the two slides, decides what should carry over and writes the motion for the video model, so you do not have to describe anything. AI transitions are generated one pair at a time; to give every pair the same effect at once, apply a built-in transition to all slides.
No. Morph is a native PowerPoint transition that smoothly moves, resizes and recolors objects that appear on both slides, and it stays editable. An AI transition is a generated video: it can do things Morph cannot, such as moving a character into a new scene, but you cannot edit the objects inside it.
Yes. Each AI transition is inserted as a video slide between its two slides. In a slideshow it plays automatically and moves to the next slide when it ends. The video is embedded in the file, so it plays without an internet connection.
No. AI transitions require a Pro plan or above and cost credits for each clip; the price depends on the model, length and quality, and is shown before you click Generate. If Smart mode finds nothing to carry over between the two slides, it tells you and no credits are used. The 15 built-in transitions are free on every plan.
Usually a few minutes. When it finishes, the transition is applied to that pair of slides right away, and you can preview it in the Transition panel.
The video was rendered from the slides as they were, so editing, deleting or reordering either slide means it no longer matches. Before an AI edit, a deletion or a reorder that would break it, Tosea asks you to confirm; after a manual edit, the Transition panel shows that the slides have changed. The clip you paid for stays in the history, and you can generate a new one for the updated slides.
You choose from several video models, such as Seedance 2.0 and Kling 3.0, each with its own lengths and quality levels. The examples on this page were rendered with Seedance 2.0. The panel shows the credit cost of your selection before you generate.
Open a deck, pick two slides that belong together, and let AI design the move between them. Keep the free built-in transitions for everything else.
